Gather ‘Round for Chili & Soup

Our annual chili cook-off in the gym has long been a spotlight on missions where we have had missionaries participate live and by sending video updates. This year looks different, but we still want you to have a chance to connect with our missionaries; encourage them and be encouraged by their work. And, it’s fun! We need a little of that just now. Please participate in whatever way you feel comfortable and safe. 

Members of the Missions Committee will be hosting the video calls of our missionaries from all around the world.  They will be joining us virtually while we enjoy some delicious chili or soup and gather with friends, virtually or in each other’s homes. The missionaries will be sharing a short update along with their current prayer needs and praises and then hanging out to enjoy some much missed fellowship with us. This is a great opportunity to meet someone new or hear about a ministry you’ve already been a part of.

Save the date for Sunday, March 14 and join us for lunch from 12:30-2:00pm or dinner from 6:00-7:30pm. 

How can you participate?

• Be a Host – If you want to host a small gathering in your home, invite friends over and join one of the virtual calls. Share the food, fun and combined fellowship too!

• Join a Host – If you would like to attend a small in-home gathering, we will try to match you up with a host.

• Join a Host Virtually – If you want to attend virtually we will send you a link.

Prizes, Prizes, Prizes!!!

Do you enjoy creating your display for the Chili Cook-Off? Some very creative ideas have shown up in our gym over the years. This year there will still be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for the best display, so email me a picture of your display to have a chance to win. You can still enter, even if you can’t join us for the actual event. Our panel of judges will have to make some hard decisions. We can’t wait to see your amazing presentations!
