Why do we give?
We give as an act of worship – to honor God, to further the Kingdom and because it builds our faith and maturity. Proverbs 3:9 speaks of honoring the Lord with our “first fruits.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 encourages us to be willing to give generously and cheerfully. Luke 12:32-34 instructs us to store our treasure in heaven. Malachi 3:10 tells us to be faithful stewards of all God has provided for us. The parable of the Widow’s Mite as told in Luke 21 and Mark 12 explains how God wants us to give willingly of everything we have. Giving online is safe and easy. You may give a one-time gift or set up a recurring contribution (weekly, monthly, etc.). Online giving does not diminish the act of worship, and we believe it does have the same spiritual significance as placing your offering in the plate during the service.
It is the heart of the giver, not the method of giving, that makes our financial offerings a true act of worship.
