Prayers for a Brother

This morning I am praying for my brother- in-law who suddenly lost his 27 year old son.

FAITH. May his faith grow more and more during these days of shock and grief.I thank you Lord for bringing salvation to his home where they put their trust in you.

LOVE.  Lord, I pray that he would not be bitter towards you, but, instead, he would spread your love to all people that he meets, for you are a gracious God full of grace and mercy. 

HOPE. Lord on a daily basis we see people lose their hope for one reason or another. Lord may his hope grow more and more, because he belongs to you. Our hope is the Hope of Heaven, life everlasting, and the reunion with our loved ones.Lord, let him not walk in defeat but Victory. 

TRUTH. Lord, may Your truth sustain him. That same truth that raised Jesus from the grave, and (the Gospel) that saved us from our sins. I pray that same truth bears fruit in all who put their trust in you.

Finally, Lord, you have called us to bear each other’s burdens. Lord, here is our burden. Help us to walk through it, knowing that you are with us. Amen.
