John 2:13-17 … You know the story of Jesus seeing His Father’s house was turned from a place of worship and where you meet God, a place of sacrifice repentance and Grace, into a den of thieves.

I Corinthians 6:19 … Do you not know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, you are not your own?

If our body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit of God, when was the last time we did house cleaning? Start this year fresh, get rid of anything that is not of God’s. Critical spirit, covetousness, gossip, envy, unwholesome thoughts, grumbling, get rid of it by confessing it to God. We raised 20 chickens. Their coop must be clean always otherwise the eggs spoil. It’s that way with us, too. Keep it clean so what you offer to God would be acceptable to God.

This passage in John is called the zeal of Christ for His Father’s house. Let us start this year with zeal for the Temple of God in us. Let God replace it with PEACE, JOY, FREEDOM, AND FORGIVENESS.

May God help us to reclaim His House for Him.
